Summer 2008 WCLOC - Children's Musical Theatre Workshop will present
"Under the Big Top".
The circus comes to town and two girls are caught up in the excitement and
want to become part of The Greatest Show on Earth. They meet the ringmaster
and get to know many of the colorful circus performers. To earn their keep
they must work on the less glamorous side of circus life.
The owners of the circus are having financial difficulties and are just
trying to keep the circus afloat. The runaways learn important lessons
about themselves and others during the time they spend with their new found
circus family.

Highlights/Requirements
Worcester County Light Opera is Central Massachusetts oldest, active, non-profit community theatre
company. Our Children's Summer Musical Theater Workshop help students develop their imaginations, voices
and bodies by teaching theatre skills that help them grow as performers and as people. For forty
years WCLOC has helped many students develop a passion for the theater arts in a small "clubhouse"
atmosphere. Our early evening classes offer an affordable alternative to full time day camps. The
children learn about being a part of a fully-staged musical production.
